Construction is nearing the finish line at the Starhill Complex. This final phase adds 244 units, bringing the project total to 570. The new additions include 169 affordable homes and 75 supportive housing units. Structurally, the complex features two identical 170-foot buildings facing a central courtyard near the Cross Bronx Expressway.

Landscaping and pavement plans are underway at 1600 Grand Avenue, the second 14-story mid-rise structure, which is being developed by Services for Underserved (S:US) and Bronx Pro Group, with designs by Marvel Architects. The design is function-first with a massing that prioritizes daylight exposure and a central shared green space terracing down from the roughly 8,000-square-foot community facility between the two structures.

The complex replaces as three-story treatment facility. Alternative addresses for the complex include, 1600 Macombs Road and 51 Featherbed Lane. The housing lottery for Starhill Phase 2 closes in 40 days and applications are available through NYC Housing Connect
