In Jersey City, construction kicked off last week for the third and final tower of Journal Squared, the new high-rise complex above the Journal Square PATH station.

The project, reports Jersey Digs, is being developed as a joint venture between KRE Group and National Real Estate Advisors.  The final tower, standing 60 stories in height, will include 600 new residences as well as amenities such as a karaoke room, recording spaces, a co-working space, a cafe, and a sky lounge.

HWKN Architecture D.P.C. and Handel Architects are designing the trio of boxy, glass-and-steel towers.

The completed project, which saw its second phase debut earlier this year, will consist of 1,840 rental units and 36,000 square feet of retail space.

Completion of the finale phase of Journal Squared is expected in Spring 2024.

Journal Squared is one of a handful of multi-tower projects reshaping the Journal Square neighborhood, including  a growing collection of residential buildings from Namdar Group.
