Just west of the A Line's PCH Station in Midtown Long Beach, developer Clifford Beers Housing is marking the completion of the Vistas del Puerto affordable and supportive housing complex.

Located at 1836-1852 Locust Avenue, the five-story building contains a total of 48 residential units, in addition to on-site supportive services and open space. The apartments are reserved for formerly homeless persons suffering from chronic health conditions.
At street level, the podium type building features two small commercial spaces that will be reserved for minority-owned local businesses which have been displaced during the pandemic. Future tenants will be provided with rental assistance for two years.
“Long Beach is a great place to live and we continue to do all we can to prioritize the development and
preservation of quality, affordable housing throughout the city,” said Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia in a statement. “The new Vistas del Puerto project reflects this commitment — providing 48 permanent homes, many supportive services, and access to nearby and easily accessible transportation for residents in the Midtown community.”

The project team includes KFA Architecture and general contractor Dreyfuss Construction, as well as service provider Mental Health America of Los Angeles.
Other projects now being developed by Clifford Beers include an under-construction apartment complex in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood and the 180-unit Corazon del Valle project in Panorama City.
