The Century Plaza development, which incorporates the historic Century Plaza Hotel at 2025 Avenue of the Stars, is highlighted by a pair of 44-story towers in the shape of reuleaux triangles.   The twin towers will contain a combined total of 268 residential units upon completion, which is currently anticipated in 2021.

Sales prices for the condominiums will reportedly range from $2 million to more than $50 million.

Immediately east of the new construction, work is also in progress for the renovation of the Century Plaza, which will reopen as a 400-room Fairmont Hotel with 63 condominiums on its upper floors.  Plans also call for 93,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space within the 16-story building.

The project - designed by a team which includes Pei Cobb FreedHEDGenslerMarmol Radziner, and Rios - mirrors the footprints of the neighboring Century Plaza office towers, which sit directly east across Avenue of the Stars.  The office towers, like the Century Plaza hotel, were designed by World Trade Center architect Minoru Yamasaki.

Additional developments in the works for Century City include a proposed 37-story office building slated for the opposite corner of Constellation Boulevard and Avenue of Stars.  JMB Realty Corp., the developer behind the project, has previously considered building a pair of apartment towers on the site.

Both developments will flank a new station on Metro's Purple Line extension, which is scheduled to open as part of the project's second phase in 2025.
