Ten months after breaking ground in Rampart Village, nonprofit developer A Community of Friends has topped out on Beverly Terrace, a mixed-use supportive housing complex.

Located at the southwest corner of Beverly Boulevard and Commonwealth Avenue, the project willl feature 40 one- and two-bedroom apartments, set aside for families making between 30 and 50 percent of the Los Angeles area median income.  Rents will range between $458 and $550 per month, and will give residents access to a nearly 3,000-square-foot early education center administered by St. Anne's Maternity Home.

Los Angeles-based Egan Simon Architecture is designing the podium-type building, which will employ various sustainable features to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
