The five-story development, which broke ground in 2018 at the northwest corner of 1st Street and Long Beach Boulevard, will eventually contain 34 guest rooms above a small parking garage.

The project is being developed by Yogesh Patel and designed by Gilmar, according to Longbeachize

The development site was previously functioned as a surface parking lot.

The project is slated to be followed by several larger hotel developments in Downtown Long Beach over the coming years, including the revamp of the historic Breakers Building and a 30-story tower slated to replace a surface parking lot at the intersection of Ocean Boulevard and Pine Avenue.

Other large projects in the surrounding neighborhood include Onni Group's Broadway Block, a $215-million housing and retail complex which broke ground in late 2019 at 2nd Street and Long Beach Boulevard, but have seen construction stall since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
