A trio of small residential buildings in Koreatown has made way for a recently-approved multifamily residential complex.
Last month, an entity attached to Sabet Management Corp. obtained entitlements to construct a six-story apartment complex at 750-762 S. Kingsley Drive, featuring 68 studio, one-, and two-, and three-bedroom apartments with a single level of basement parking for 35 vehicles. In exchange for density bonus incentives, including reductions to normally required side- and rear-yard setbacks, the project will include six very low-income affordable units, more than replacing the four rent-stabilized units that were previously developed at the property.
Designed by Warren Techentin Architecture, the podium-type development features a contemporary look with an exterior of stucco and black metal panels. Common open spaces are planned in the form of a central, open-air courtyard and a fitness center.
A timeline for the project is unclear.
