Three duplexes in Koreatown could make way for a new development of senior supportive housing, according to the agenda of last months meeting of the Wilshire Center Koreatown Neighborhood Council's Planning, Land Use, Housing, and Transportation Committee.

The property, located at 923-937 S. Kenmore Avenue, is slated for a by-right development consisting of 75 senior housing units and 15 parking spaces.  The project would span across three parcels, replacing buildings that date to the early 20th century.

Property records list the owner of the site as an entity called SWW Investment, LLC.

The property was entitled in 2018 for the development of a seven-story building featuring 53 market rate apartments and 15 low-income affordable units.

The revised development could make use of Transit Oriented Communities incentives, which allow affordable developments relief from certain zoning restrictions.  The property is located in a Tier II TOC zone.

The neighborhood council committee considered drafting a motion in support of the proposed development at its meeting on March 28.
