The $37-million project, which spans the block between Wilton Place and Gramercy Place, consists of a four-story building which will offer 64 one- and two-bedroom apartments atop 2,900 square feet of ground-floor retail space and parking for 63 vehicles.
Kevin Daly Architects designed the mixed-use project, which will be capped by a rooftop deck that steps down in height toward the adjacent low-rise neighborhood.
The apartments will cater to low-income seniors making at or below 50 and 60 percent of the area median income, with half to be reserved for formerly homeless persons. Rents will range between $545 and $1,197 per month.
Completion of Gramercy Place is anticipated in 2021.
