Next week, the Central Los Angeles Area Planning Commission will review a proposed residential-retail complex just south of MacArthur Park.

The project, which first emerged in September 2015, would consist of a six-story building at the intersection of 8th Street and Park View Avenue.  A small office building on the property has already been demolished for the development, which would feature 144 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, approximately 4,600 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and an interior courtyard.

Pacific Parkview, a Los Angeles-based limited liability company, is listed as the project's applicant.

Architectural design work is being handled by B. Raeen Construction, Inc.  Renderings portray a contemporary mid-rise building.

A construction timeline for the project is currently unclear.
