The project, located on a 10-acre property at the southeast corner of Temple Street and Beaudry Avenue, is the latest Downtown apartment project from Beverly Hills-based developer Geoffrey H. Palmer. The immense podium-type complex will consist of 1,150 residential units - a decrease from the roughly 1,500 apartments originally proposed - with roughly 21,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and parking for over 2,600 vehicles.
According to building permits, construction of Ferrante is being broken into six overlapping phases.
The first apartments are scheduled to open in mid-2021, according to the leasing brochure.
Ferrante is the largest project in Palmer's "Renaissance Collection," a series large of Italian-inspired apartment complexes flanking the Harbor Freeway. Combined with six other projects - Da Vinci, Lorenzo, Medici, Orsini, Piero, and Visconti - Palmer's portfolio will include 5,000 residential units.
Similar to Palmer's other projects, Ferrante would consist of multiple interconnected wood-frame buildings, flanking large courtyards and amenity decks. Renderings show a large fountain fronting the intersection of Temple and Beaudry.
The Ferrante project site sits directly across Beaudry avenue from a smaller eight-story, 53-unit apartment building now being built by LaTerra Development.
