In Koreatown, the protective scaffolding and fencing is gone, revealing the completed facade of Harper, a mixed-use development from Jamison Services, Inc.

The six-story building, located at the southeast corner of 8th Street and Harvard Boulevard, consists of 131 apartments one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments - including 11 deed-restricted very low-income affordable units - atop 7,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and basement parking for 214 vehicles.

Large Architecture designed the contemporary podium-type building, which includes a roof deck, courtyard, and a fitness room.

The project is the latest in a series of similar mixed-use projects from Jamison Services in the Koreatown community, including three projects at 8th Street's intersections with Berendo Street, Kingsley Drive, and Western Avenue.

Other projects now in development nearby include the under-construction Rise Koreatown apartments at 8th Street and Serrano Avenue and a proposed eight-story complex at the opposite corner of 8th and Harvard.
