St. Andrews1808, a project from Clifford Beers Housing, is named for its address at 1808 S. St. Andrews Place.  Plans call for converting a 111-year-old house into eight residential units while construction a new three-story, 12-unit apartment building on the property's back yard.  The new apartments would average 350 square feet in size, each featuring a kitchenette and a bathroom.

LOHA's design for St.Andrews1808 would connect the old and new construction through the addition of a one-story community room and rooftop deck.  Renderings depict the proposed project with an exterior of corrugated metal panels and a pitched roof.

The project, according to a landing page on the LOHA website, will be the first development from Clifford Beers Housing to not utilize low income housing tax credits, cutting two years off of the development timeline.  Outside of a single market-rate manager's unit, the apartments will be reserved for households earning at or below 15 percent, 30 percent, 45 percent, and 60 percent of the area median income level.
