A vacant hillside lot with enviable views of Echo Park may soon birth a multifamily residential development.

On January 11, the Echo Park Neighborhood Council's Planning and Land Use Committee will review a new proposal to construct apartments on a nearly half-acre site at Glendale Boulevard and Montrose Street.  The project is described as a five-story building featuring 13 residential units and 28 on-site parking spaces.

Aerial images of the property show it as undeveloped land as far back as 1948.

Additional details about the proposed development are unclear.  At the current time, no plans have been officially filed with either the Los Angeles Planning Department or the Department of Building and Safety.
