The exterior of a multifamily residential development from Sares-Regis Group is largely complete just north of the Long Beach Civic Center.

The Pacific, located at the intersection of 3rd Street and Pacific Avenue, consists of a seven-story structure which will offer 163 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments - including 17 reserved for low-income renters - above a two-level basement parking garage.  Though there is no retail component, townhomes will line the building's ground floor.

Studio One Eleven designed the project in association with MJS Landscape Architecture.  The colorful podium-type building closely resembles conceptual renderings, and will include amenities such as a roof deck, a swimming pool, and a fitness center.

Pre-leasing at the property is currently underway, and completion is expected in 2020 - roughly a year-and-a-half after the project was originally expected to open.

A promotional website indicates that rents at The Pacific range between $2,410 and $3,505 per month.

The project site is located just north of AMLI Park Broadway, a mixed-use complex from AMLI Residential.

The Pacific is one of three similar multifamily residential buildings developed by Sares-Regis Group in Downtown Long Beach.  The Linden, featuring 49 apartments and retail at the intersection of 4th Street and Linden Avenue, opened earlier in mid-2019.  The Alamitos, which features 136 apartments at the corner of 1st Street and Alamitos Avenue, is slated to debut in 2020.
