A year-and-a-half after breaking ground in City West, Redwood City-based developer Amidi Group is nearing the halfway mark at its 1027 Wilshire development.

The $180-million project, an expansion of the TenTen Wilshire apartments across the street, will consist of a nine-story building featuring 376 residential units, approximately 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and subterranean parking for over 800 vehicles.

The mid-rise structure, designed by El Segundo-based Bijan & Associates, will feature a large roof deck, in addition to other amenities such as a fitness center and a theater room.

Completion of 1027 Wilshire is expected in 2020.

Amidi Group, which a former office building across the street into the TenTen Wilshire apartments of today, is also planning to build an eight-story development on a parking lot a block south on Ingraham Street.  The developer also owns property on Brand Boulevard in Glendale, where another eight-story residential-retail project is in the works.
