A new small lot subdivision could be coming to a vacant property in Tarzana, according to plans approved earlier this month by the Los Angeles City Planning Commission.

The proposed development, slated for a nearly half-acre site at 5808 N. Etiwanda Avenue, calls for the construction of nine-single family dwellings.  Each of the three-story structures would contain three bedrooms and other living areas above a two-car garage.

Ken Stockton Architects is designing the project, which is depicted in renderings as a set of contemporary low-rise structures arranged in a U-shape around a common driveway.

The owner and development for the project is listed as Ilan Levy through the entity IML Properties.

Construction of the small lot development, which was considered at the October 15 meeting of the City Planning Commission, will require the approval of a zone change and general plan amendment.  The development site is a lone patch of suburban-zoned land - restricted to single-family development - in a neighborhood largely developed with multi-family buildings.
