Irvine-based developer City Ventures has debuted its first model homes at the Huxton, a 40-unit townhome project that is billed as the first new for-sale housing development built in Downtown Long Beach area in nearly 10 years.

Locate at 227 Elm Avenue between Broadway and Third Streets, the project originated as a public-private partnership between the City of Long Beach and the developer.  City Ventures has already sold 10 of the homes as part of its pre-sales campaign.

The Huxton is advertised as a "first-of-its-kind sustainable community" for Long beach, with high-performance appliances, lighting, and fixtures intended to reduce electricity use and gas consumption.

Sales prices at the Huxton start in the high $600,000s.  More information is available at the project's official website.
