An initial study published by the Los Angeles Department of City Planning offers up new details on Modera Argyle, Mill Creek Residential's proposed mixed-use development in Hollywood.

The proposed development, slated for the Ametron Electronics site at Selma and Argyle Avenues, would consist of a seven-story building featuring 276 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments - including 13 units of very low income housing - above a four-level, 364-car underground parking garage.  Plans call for between 24,000 and 27,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, which could be used for either retail uses or a grocery store.

Carrier Johnson + CULTURE is designing the podium-type building, which is portrayed as a boxy mid-rise structure.

Construction of Modera Argyle would occur over approximately 30 months, with completion tentatively scheduled for 2023.  That schedule may overlap with developer Crescent Heights' plan for the Palladium Residences, which is slated for an adjoining property.

Mill Creek is currently in the midst of construction on a similar two-building complex at Selma and Highland Avenue.
