Construction is slated to begin in early 2020 for another mixed-use apartment complex near the intersection of Adams Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.

The project, which comes from locally-based 4D Development & Investment, would rise from an approximately one-acre site at 5181 W. Adams Boulevard.  Plans approved earlier this year by the City of Los Angles call for the construction of a six-story edifice featuring 115 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments over a 46-car garage.

Designed by Bittoni Architects, with AFCO Design serving as executive architect, the contemporary low-rise structure would consist of four levels of wood-frame construction above a concrete podium.  Renderings show exterior balconies, ground-floor retail space, and a landscaped courtyard at the building's third floor.

The project follows a slew of similar multi-story office and residential buildings that have recently sprouted on Adams Boulevard, almost all of which have been built by CIM Group.

4D Development & Investment has pursued an apartment complex at the 5181 Adams Boulevard site for more than five years, having previously sought to construct a smaller 72-unit building on the same site.

The company's other recent projects include the 112-unit  E. On Grand apartments in Downtown and a proposed mixed-use building near the Vermont/Beverly subway station.
