Nonprofit developer Abode Communities intends to construct a new senior apartment building in West Adams, according to an agenda item from next week's meeting of the Los Angeles City Planning Commission.

The project, known as Adams Terrace, is slated for a current parking lot at the northwest corner of West Adams Boulevard and Bronson Avenue.  It would consist of a four-story building featuring 48 studio and one-bedroom units catering to low income and very low income seniors.

An architectural rendering portrays a contemporary low-rise structure, clad with plaster and other materials.  Landscaping and open space are planned throughout the building, including an interior courtyard.

A timeline for Adams Terrance is unclear.
