A handful of small buildings near the Culver Boulevard bike path could make way for a mixed-use development, according to plans filed last week with the City of Los Angeles.

The property, located 4460 S. Inglewood Boulevard, is currently home to a duplex, a single-family residence, and a small commercial building occupied by a laundromat.  Plans call for demolishing those structures to allow for the construction of a five-story mixed-use structure featuring apartments above ground-floor retail uses.  The property's zoning would allow for approximately 25 units with density bonus incentives requested by the developer.

The project's case filing with the Department of City Planning lists its applicant as a Playa del Rey-based entity called 4460 Inglewood, LLC.

The development site, located in a mostly sleepy section of Del Rey, is located just east of a similar mixed-use building planned near the intersection of Culver Boulevard and Slauson Avenue.  A short distance north at the Culver City - Los Angeles border, developer CityView is in the midst of construction for a five-story structure featuring 97 apartments and retail.
