An opening is scheduled before the end of 2021 for the tommie Hollywood, Relevant Group's latest hotel development.

Architecture firm Steinberg Hart announced last week that eight-story, 212-room property - located at 6516-6526 Selma Avenue - will make its debut in early December. The hotel, which will join the JdV by Hyatt brand, is also set to include 15,000 square feet of restaurant space, with offerings such as KATEEN by chef Wes Avila and Desert Five Spot, a new rooftop pool lounge.

Local design firm and Ten Five Hospitality have also partnered on the project, which incorporates midcentury modern elements inspired by the iconic case study houses built in Los Angeles during the late 1950s and 1960s. The building's finishes include exposed structural steel post columns, natural white oak, stone, blackened steel, and hand-made ceramics.

Its rooftop bar, named for a flower found in the Mojave Desert, is intended to reflect a 1970s Palm Springs, and will offer live performances in addition to food and drink.

The tommie is the third in a series of Hollywood developments from Relevant Group, following the Dream Hotel, which is open a block east on Selma, and a Thompson Hotel which as completed earlier this year on an adjacent site facing Wilcox Avenue.

The project site is located midway between Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards.
