The finish line is in sight for CIM Group at 900 N. La Brea Avenue.

For the past two years, the Los Angeles-based real estate developer has been hard at work with the construction of a seven-story apartment complex that will feature 169 residential units - including 14 set aside for very low-income households - above 37,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and parking for 303 vehicles.

Designed by ShubinDonaldson, the project will feature an exterior of glass, plaster, and perforated metal panels, with common amenities including a pool, a gym, and an outdoor deck.

CIM Group owns numerous properties in the surrounding area, which is the dividing line between Los Angeles and West Hollywood.  A block west on Sycamore Avenue, the developer has nearly completed work on one eight-story office building and started work on another.

On the West Hollywood side of La Brea, CIM is building out another office building at The Lot studios.
