J.H. Snyder Co. is putting the finishing touches on its new apartment tower on the Miracle Mile.

The 21-story tower, located across Curson Avenue from Hancock Park, contains a total of 285 one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as subterranean parking.

MVE + Partners designed the glass high-rise, which will include on-site amenities including a gym, a lounge, and a rooftop pool deck.

The apartment tower is slated to open later this year.

A number of similar multifamily residential projects are in the works for the surrounding community, including a 16-story apartment tower now under construction less than one mile west at Wilshire Boulevard and La Jolla Avenue.

Although it is being built as rental housing, J.H. Snyder Co. originally entitled the 620 Curson Avenue site as an expansion of the adjoining Museum Square office complex - currently the headquarters of the Screen Actors Guild.

While Snyder ultimately opted against developing the property with office space, other property owners in the near vicinity have different ideas.  Earlier this year, Onni Group submitted an application to the City of Los Angeles to expand the neighboring Wilshire Courtyard office campus by more than 1.8 million square feet.
