After four years of construction, the Somerset Group is nearing the finish line at its signature residential development in the Westlake neighborhood

The project, called WILCO, is located at the northeast corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Coronado Street.  The seven-story building features 152 apartments in a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom floor plans above 7,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.  Pre-leasing for the property is scheduled to begin this month.

“We started developing this parcel of land that had been owned by our family for decades in 2005. We made it our mission to turn it into something beautiful and useful that speaks to the surrounding community,” said Gabriel Eshaghian, one of two Principals with the Somerset Group along with his cousin Claude Eshaghian.

Wilco is designed by DFH Architects, incorporating elements of the Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, and Spanish Revival architecture seen in the surrounding community.  Its interiors, designed by KUSKIN/MAY, include 1920s Art Deco and Bauhaus styles.

The property also includes a rooftop deck, a courtyard-level swimming pool, a yoga room, a private screening room, and a gym.

The first day for move-ins is anticipated in January 2020.
