After nearly three years of construction, developer AvalonBay Communities is preparing to open the first phase of AVA Hollywood at La Pietra Place.

The mixed-use complex is located on a six-acre site at 6677 Santa Monica Boulevard. Multiple buildings will contain a total of 695 apartments in studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans. The apartments will be seated over 25,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and basement parking.

Amenities include a 5,000 square foot fitness center, an indoor screening room, and 1,500 square feet of co-working space.

Koning Eizenberg Architecture is designing the contemporary podium-type complex, which includes numerous courtyards and a landscaped paseo connecting Santa Monica Boulevard to Lexington Avenue.

The design team also includes executive architect Togawa Smith Martin, Groundlevel Landscape Architecture, and House of Honey Interiors.

According to the AVA Hollywood website, pre-leasing has begun and units will be ready for move-in at the end of 2019.

Rents are advertised as ranging from $2,575 to $5,350 per month.

AvalonBay has several other mixed-use projects in the works, including a 475-unit Ava Arts District and a 154-unit complex in Old Town Monrovia.
