Nearly five years after purchasing the Marriott Burbank Airport hotel and convention center for more than $100 million, New York-based real estate investment firm AWH Partners is moving forward with plans to build another hotel on an adjacent site.

The project, slated for a property at 2500 N. Hollywood Way, calls for the construction of a seven-story, dual-branded hotel featuring a combined 420 guest rooms meeting space, and approximately 5,260 square feet of restaurant space.

Plans also call for the construction of a standalone parking garage along the eastern property line with accommodations for up to 917 vehicles, supplementing 268 spaces in a surface parking lot.

Atlanta-based PFVS Architects is designing the hotel, the hotels, which would share a rooftop amenity deck, as well as a plaza area adjacent to the existing convention center.

Construction is expected to occur in a single phases starting in June 2022 and concluding in June 2025.

The Burbank Economic Development website indicates that the Marriott brands ALOFT and Residence Inn will serve as hotel operators.

Construction recently began for another mixed-use project near Burbank Airport which will also feature a hotel.
