Construction is complete for a pair of 24-story apartment towers in Downtown Los Angeles, according to MVE + Partners

The Griffin and The Grace, both located at the intersection of 8th and Spring Streets, were developed by Holland Partner Group.  The Griffin, located at the northwest corner of the intersection, features 275 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments above 9,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.  The Grace, located at the northeast corner of the intersection, contains 300 dwellings with 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail.

Alluding the 150-foot street wall seen in the Downtown of the 1920s, both towers draw upon the historic context of the neighborhood for their lower levels.  The Griffin employs an exterior of metal and cast stone - a nod to the Historic Core - while The Grace features a weaved-fabric pattern in reference to the Fashion District.  Both have a modern appearance upon their upper floors.

Holland Partner Group, which is based out of Vancouver, Washington, has built new apartments in several Downtown neighborhoods within the past five years, including City West, Little Tokyo, and South Park.
