A tower crane is now in place at the corner of 8th and Berendo Streets, as Jamison Services, Inc. forges ahead with one of its numerous ongoing projects in Koreatown.

The seven-story development, which broke ground in October 2017, will feature 98 residential units with 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space and basement parking.  The podium-type structure replaced a surface parking lot and a small commercial building.

Architect Daryoush Safai is designing the 8th and Berendo development, which renderings depict as a contemporary structure colored black, grey, and white.

Jamison Services has several other projects in the works for 8th Street, including a mixed-use building now under construction at Harvard Boulevard and a proposed six-story development at Serrano Avenue.
