In Hawthorne, the new headquarters of Amazon subsidiary Ring continues to take shape.

The company, which makes home security products and video doorbells, is relocating from Santa Monica to a new campus that is being built by New York-based real estate investment firm Vella Group at 12515 Cerise Avenue.  The project includes the renovation of two 18,000-square-foot warehouses, which have been connected through the construction of a new two-story atrium.

The approximately 62,000-square-foot space, which includes offices and common areas for employees, is accompanied by a new parking structure now under construction along the western property line of the campus.

M-Rad is designing the project, which notably places two adult olive trees within the interior of the double-height atrium, as well as an entry staircase and terraced seating areas.

Construction of the campus is on pace to be completed this year.

Ring, which was purchased by Amazon for the reported sum of $1 billion, will be located just south of SpaceX headquarters and the Tesla Design Center, and a short distance west of Dinerstein Cos.' Millennium Hawthorne housing and retail development.

Seattle-based Amazon's other Los Angeles area operations are also on the move.  Amazon Studios, IMDB, and other subsidiaries are in the process of relocating to Hackman Capital Group's Culver Studios Campus, which is in the midst of a $620-million expansion.
