The project at 11731-11739 Holmes Avenue, developed by Atlanta-based Integral Group, consists of a three-story edifice that will feature 61 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments reserved for households earning between 30 and 60 percent of the area median income.

According to a 2019 staff report to the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee, rents at Ashley Willowbrook are expected to range from $509 to $1,309 per month.  The application window apartments closed in February, per a notice posted to the project's leasing website.

KFA Architecture designed the contemporary wood-frame building, which includes balconies, a courtyard, a fitness room and other open amenities for residents.

The project follows on the heels of two larger affordable housing developments that have recently opened a block east on Wilmington: LINC Housing's Springhaven apartments and the Gateway senior housing complex from Thomas Safran & Associates.
