New permanent supportive housing is slated for a property just south of Melrose Avenue in the Larchmont neighborhood.

The proposed development, slated for a property at 525-541 N. Western Avenue, would replace a small commercial building with a multi-level structure featuring 63 apartments priced for low-income households and one manager's unit.

Requested entitlements for the project include Transit Oriented Communities affordable housing incentives.

The project applicant is listed as an entity called Maple Apartments Associates, LP.

Earlier this year, the City of Los Angeles awarded $6.6 million in Measure HHH funding to developer Affordable Housing CDC for the project, which has a total estimated budget of $30.9 million.
