One block south of Hollywood's infamous Target Husk, a new apartment complex from Wiseman Residential is now fully framed.

The project, located at the southeast corner of Western and Fountain Avenues, stands six stories in height.  Plans call for a total of 49 apartments with two levels of subterranean parking.

Uriu & Associates, a firm which frequently works on Wiseman developments, is designing the wood-frame building.

In addition to the Target Husk, where construction resumed in 2019 following a near five-year delay, several housing and retail developments are planned for nearby sites.

Large apartment complexes with ground-floor commercial uses are slated for both the northwest and southeast corners of Sunset Boulevard and Western Avenue, and a similar project has been proposed for an empty lot one block south at Fernwood Avenue.

Wiseman, which is based in the Sawtelle neighborhood, is developing several other housing projects in Central and West Los Angeles, including a residential-retail building near the intersection of Sunset and La Brea Avenue.
