A small office buildings in the North Hills neighborhood could be redeveloped with an apartment complex, according to plans filed yesterday with the City of Los Angeles.

The proposed develoment, slated for a nearly 19,000-square-foot site at 8748-8750 N. Sepulveda Boulevard, would feature 43 residential units - including five to be set aside as affordable housing.

City records list the project applicant an entity called Yaya Sepulveda, LLC.  The organization is linked to local investor Al Leibovic.

The applicant is represented by Van Nuys-based GA Engineering, Inc.

The project site is located across the street from a proposed six-story, 324-unit apartment complex at 8811 N. Sepulveda Boulevard.
