Construction is underway for a $40-million renovation of an office complex near the I-105 Freeway in El Segundo.

Flyte El Segundo, which is owned by Swift Real Estate Partners, is consists of two 11-story office towers and a 10-level structure featuring parking and office space at the corner of Imperial Highway and Nash Street.  The property offers more than 580,000 square feet of rentable space, much of which is occupied by Raytheon and AT&T.

The improvements, designed by Ware Malcomb, span common areas between the three buildings.  A new plaza is being built between the two office towers at 2200-2230 Imperial Highway, which will add new landscaping, raised wood platforms for outdoor dining, an amphitheater, seating areas, shade structures, and space for food trucks.

Flyte is located a block west of the new home of the Los Angeles Times, and a block north of the future North American headquarters of EVA Airways.
