A nearly century-old warehouse in the Arts District may be converted into live/work apartments, according to plans submitted yesterday to the City of Los Angeles.
The six-story building, constructed in 1924, is located on a nearly one-acre site at 1340 E. 6th Street. According to the project's case filing with the Planning Department, the proposed changes include transforming its interior into 193 live/work apartments. At the completion of work, the building would have eight habitable floors.
Additional details regarding the proposed development are currently unclear.
