Six months after we last checked in, construction continues at the 100 West Walnut development in Pasadena.

The project - which is being built by LPC West and AMLI Residential - is rising from a site that previously served as parking for the former headquarters of engineering firm Parsons.  Multiple five-story structures will contain a total of 400 apartments and 210,000 square feet of offices for rent.

The mixed-use complex, designed by SOM and HED, will divide the buildings with pedestrian paseos and arcades.  The street level will be lined with approximately 17,500 square feet of shops and restaurants.

Construction of 100 West Walnut, which will eventually include a second parking lot on the opposite side of the former Parsons building, is expected to conclude in 2025.

LPC West, a subsidiary of Lincoln Property Company, is also developing large office buildings on two sites in Culver City.

AMLI Residential's recent Southern California projects include new apartment complexes in Marina del Rey and Downtown Long Beach.
