Developers behind West End’s 11-building warehouse overhaul along the Atlanta BeltLine say recent tenant signings will help diversify the lineup as major changes debut this year.

Ackerman & Co. and MDH Partners, the companies now partnering on adaptive-reuse district Lee + White, announced three additions today to the project’s tenant roster expected to open in 2022.

Signings include a dentistry, a logistics company’s office lease, and Lee + White’s first confirmed tenant for the Westside Trail’s first food hall, which is under construction now.

The latter deal involves a current Lee + White tenant, Honeysuckle Gelato. The sweet-treat purveyor relocated its retail test kitchen and production facility to a 6,000-square-foot space within Lee + White, and has now signed a second lease to become the food hall's first stall occupant. Expect baked goods, milkshakes, and handmade gelato.

Elsewhere, a dentist practice by Dr. Nathanael Cole called Westside Dental will occupy 2,300 square feet at Building 929.

And Southeastern Management Inc.— a logistics service provider with a focus on warehousing and distribution operations—will take 7,767 square feet in Lee + White’s Building 1050. That deal's expected to produce job opportunities for truck drivers and other professionals.

In addition to the breweries Lee + White is known for, the tenant additions are meant to help “meet the community’s practical and daily needs with service providers that make life easier,” Jeff Small, MDH Partners’ CEO, said in today’s announcement.

Another recent leasing win came with Monday Night Brewery, an original tenant, expanding its facility by about 10,000 square feet to increase production capabilities.

Last summer, officials announced that plans for a standalone Lee + White food hall were being scrapped in favor of one that’s integrated into existing buildings.

Expect a mix of 13 food stalls, plus full-service restaurants and fast-casual dining options, including the second location of chef Todd Richards’ Lake & Oak BBQ. A large central bar in the food hall will open to a new exterior patio overlooking a parking lot that faces the BeltLine, officials have said.

More announcements regarding occupants of those stalls, in addition to Honeysuckle Gelato, are expected early this year.

Next door, part of Lee + White’s surface parking lots are being remade into a “Great Lawn”—the largest greenspace integrated into a BeltLine development to date, per Ackerman and MDH—with a village of 20 repurposed shipping containers.

The retail village’s roster will frequently change with small businesses signed on short-term leases, offering everything from clothing to homeware and fashion accessories, per officials.

The containers are now scheduled to open in March or April, a rep tells Urbanize Atlanta.

The food hall and Great Lawn, meanwhile, are targeting late spring or early summer openings, possibly around May or June.
