The hospitality component of Selig Development’s three-tower 1105 West Peachtree project, marketed as Midtown’s “only food and wine centric hotel,” is set to welcome its first guests Thursday.

Described as having an inviting “urban chic” aesthetic overall, the Epicurean Atlanta falls under Marriott International’s Autograph Collection and marks the second location of the Epicurean brand, a partnership between Mainsail Lodging & Development and famed Bern’s Steak House in Tampa.

Having risen at the corner of West Peachtree and 13th streets, the 16-story, Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio-designed hotel offers three dining concepts, each led by executive chef Ewart Wardhaugh.

The signature restaurant, Reverence, leans on the southeast’s food producers and ingredients; Aerial Kitchen & Bar, located on a ninth-level Sky Terrace, is meant to be a “resort-style sanctuary” and Midtown’s “premier outdoor dining destination,” while The Office Bar next door will be an “ideal reprieve” for Google office workers above, per project officials. (Learn more about each concept here.)

Elsewhere on the property is the 1,964-square-foot Epicurean Theatre, a stage kitchen for watching chefs and mixologists at work, and an 11,000-square-foot wedding and events space.

The 1105 West Peachtree project, expected to fully open in coming weeks, transformed a 3.5-acre block in the middle of Midtown into a three-pronged node of condos, offices, and hotel rooms designed to enhance walkability in the area.

Rates at the Epicurean for Saturday night, for example, begin at $379, though they trend cheaper during the week. Have a sneak peek in the gallery above.
