Along the western edge of Inman Park, construction is in full swing to meld three eastside attractions into what developers envision as a more cohesive mixed-use district and what’s been called “an 18-hour destination for locals and visitors.”

Since 2018, Charlotte-based Asana Partners has bought two landmark Inman Park properties—Krog Street Market and Atlanta Stove Works—and SPX Alley across the BeltLine in Old Fourth Ward. The latter is home to Taproom, Nina & Rafi pizza, Hawkers, and other attractions.

In recent weeks, Asana Partners’ efforts to mesh the properties together and rebrand them as The Krog District have begun in earnest.

Site work is underway for two new mixed-use buildings along Krog Street, both with brick-heavy architecture that echoes existing styles and forms. (One will stand four stories next to Krog Street Market with a new parking garage, the other three stories along the BeltLine’s Eastside Trail.)

Meanwhile, interiors at the Stove Works complex will be opened up to better connect with the Eastside Trail and guide visitors toward Krog Street Market. Doing so would also create a more fluid connection between Inman Park and SPX Alley.

Development officials have said the expanded version of The Krog District is scheduled to open in summer 2022. Head to the gallery for a quick tour of where things stand today—and what the future is expected to hold.
