Despite a lingering global health crisis and travel lockdowns, metro Atlanta’s hotel industry has welcomed a few notable options in strategic places lately.

Those include the Reverb by Hard Rock in Castleberry Hill, which overlooks Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and a dramatic redo of the former W Atlanta – Buckhead called Hotel Colee.

The intent with Hotel Colee was to reimagine the old W spaces with a mix of florals and “classic Southern style signatures—pastel, prints, and pops of vibrant color” that create “an atmosphere that encourages guests to embrace their essence, feel their best, and go ahead and put on that statement piece,” according to an explanation provided by hotel reps.

After opening late last year, the Marriott Autograph Collection property operates The Lobby Bar and rooftop favorite Whiskey Blue via room service, but restaurant Cook Hall has been closed. Plans call for a different dining concept to open in that space this fall.

Hotel Colee, like the new Hard Rock downtown, prides itself on being pet-friendly, and rooms typically range between $150 to $300 nightly. Rates for this Saturday night, for instance, begin at $172 for a king.
